Wind sensors
Two of the most measured meteorological parameters are wind speed and direction. Unfortunately each kind of application requires a different kind of sensor. OBSERMET offers a wide range of professional instruments suitable for each kind of application. A combined st.st. accurate sensor suitable for marine environments, an ATEX approved one for offshore applications, low powered ones for battery/solar powered Met-stations, as well as ultrasonic sensors. 

Displays
Local read out on dedicated displays is often required within several Met-applications. Non dependant on Windows based software critical Met-parameters can be indicated on the OBSERMET display units. Observator instruments offer the most complete display line available. Provided with industry standard outputs, either provided with or without signal conditioning unit. Now also available in black line (oem) version.

Signal Conditioning
Each kind of Met application requires its own signal handling. OBSERMET offers a wide rage of signal converters. Most of these take care of the power supply of the sensors and have industry standard outputs such as 4..20 mA, NMEA0183 etc. Other signal conditioning unit can be find in RS232/RS422 converters, TCP/IP converters; splitters and multiplexers. Either as standard or customized almost each requirement can be realized with these signal conditioning units

Data Logging
Latest released data logger, the OMC-045 GPRS Logger, was already mentioned as most innovative product on several exhi-bitions. Available in several executions to meet market require-ments. Most popular are the OMC-045-Q which is used to read in an YSI quality probe, the OMC-045-R for precipitation and the OMC-045-L for measurement of (ground) water measurements. Other loggers are available within the OBSERMET range. A.o. one with PLC’s capabilities still acting as low powered data logger.

The OMC-410 MultiMetProbe
At this moment our R&D department is involved with the development of a sensor/system which will be a quite revolution into the Met-market. A Combined All-In-One sensor, data logger, communication device. Whatever parameter required (with the highest accuracy), whichever communication necessary, LAN, LON SDI or NMEA, this unit will coop. Temperature Humidity
The OBSERMET range offers various temperature and combined temperature humidity transmitters. The temperature transmitters are normally supplied with 4..20 mA outputs over a range of -40°C..+60°C. The humidity range is 0..100% RH with an accuracy of ± 1,5%. The transmitters are mounted into a radiation shield to protect the sensor. Please also have look at our new OMC-410 MultiMetProbe. 

Rain Measurement
Rain can be measured using different principles. The well known OBSERMET rain gauges OMC-210/212 use the tipping bucket principle. A simple but effective method which is conform W.M.O. regulations. The OMC-212 is delivered with heater and thermostat while the OMC-210 is delivered without. Both can be supplied with a tipping bucket for 0.1 or 0.2 mm. Other rain sensors in the OBSERMET range are e.g. rain yes no sensors. 

Other MET sensors
Besides the above mentioned sensors the OBSERMET range comprises of several other sensors. Either manufactured in house or integrated from several well respected manufactures. Parameters which can be measured with the OBSERMET range are amongst others: visibility; cloud height; solar radiation; barometric pressure; evaporation etc. etc. Contact Observator instruments for your exact requirements. 

Water Level sensors
As so many parameters, also water level can be measured using several principles. The OBSERMET OMC-35X range uses the float and counter weight principle. A little bit harder to install than other principles but a very accurate way of determine the water level. Other principles often used by Observator instruments are pressure sensors and acoustic or radar measurements. 

Current Doppler sensors
SonTek/YSI is a well known manufacturer of Acoustic Doppler instruments. Since 1997 Observator instruments is an agent for SonTek. Several Doppler instruments of the Argonaut Type were used for the measurement of discharge. For each application SonTek provides a fixed solution. OBERMET further hires this kind of equipment. Within our hire-pool The Argonaut SL, The Argonaut SW and a RiverCat are available. 

Water Quality probes
Just like for SonTek, Observator also represents YSI, which is a manufacturer of multiparameter probes. Our data loggers are able to coop with these sensors to measure (amongst others) pH, DO, conductivity, temperature, turbidity, redox, chlorophyll, rhodamine, depth etc. In conjunction with these YSI sensors OBSERMET delivers complete monitoring solutions to water authorities, dredging companies and research centers. 

Telemetric systems
Measured information stored within the OBSERMET data loggers can be sent or retrieved using several techniques. Observator has developed her own low power industrial telephone modem, while the latest GPRS logger OMC-045 is provided with an internal GSM/GPRS modem. Other systems are provided with radio modems which are used from well known manufacturers. 

Software
The popular software program ObserView is used for various application to gather, indicate store and retrieve measured meteorological and hydrological data. Recently OMC-Data-On-Line was introduced, a software device which makes it possible reading in various field stations from an SQL data base.
